A Week for Water

Join us for a special Lake Week - August 29th - Sept. 4th, 2026.
100% of proceeds benefit Prisma High School’s Thirst Project to build a well in Eswatini - Africa.

A week at the lake - a well for a village.

After having the opportunity to join Thirst Project on a cultural immersion trip to Eswatini, Africa this past June - we as students saw the impact we can make by raising money to fund wells in underdeveloped communities. After returning to the United States, we quickly sat down to plan how we, as students, could continue supporting the people we met on the other side of the world.

By partnering with Kona Kona Resort & Cabins, we are able to donate 100% of the proceeds from cabin reservations the week of August 29 - Sep 4th to Thirst Project, allowing us to work toward our goal of funding a well and providing a community with clean water for life before we graduate from high school in June 2027.

Come for the lake, stay for the impact.

We are excited to announce a WEEK FOR WATER, a second lake week Aug 29th-Sept 4th open FIRST to any and all families of Prisma Learners!

This initiative is run by Prisma High School’s Thirst Club.  A Week For Water Lake Week is a week to come together - featuring a, school hub for our first week of Prisma classes in the lodge and group fun/games in the afternoons. The best part of this newly announced Lake Week “A Week for Water”  is that 100% of the profits will be donated to Thirst Project, a non profit organization dedicated to providing safe and clean drinking water to struggling communities around the world.

Our goal is ambitious: by the end of this lake week with your support we hope to raise $12,000 which will fund a full well build and provide access to clean drinking water for years to come.  Cabins are significantly discounted for our fundraiser at $1400 per cabin (6-7 max) or $600 per bedroom in a shared house (2 people max) for a 2-3 bedroom cabin just 15 feet from the lake!

Join us for a week of fun in the sun while making lasting impact. By booking a cabin, you will help provide safe and clean drinking water for 56 people for years to come.

We anticipate these spots will go quickly as we only have room for 9-10 families. We look forward to making a difference with you as we kick off a great school year!  Here’s to a Week for Water!

Lake blends a little bit of school with the start of Cycle 0 and support by our High School student volunteers with a whole lot of fun.

The Schedule

We can't wait to welcome you to Kona Kona! Each morning, us High School volunteers will run a school hub for Prisma students in the community lodge. In the afternoons, you can expect fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

Dinner will be provided on the first night (August 29). For the rest of the week, families will be responsible for providing their own breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen for meal preparation, and there's also a community kitchen available if families would like to cook and eat together.
